under his weather-proof hood.
He raised his chin in welcome to the sky
as his arms rest comfortably by his side.
Unaffected by the cold harsh wind,
he listened and waited for her to speak.
She roared loud and struck a tree.
In three pieces it fell not far from his feet.
He was shaken; he took a step back,
eyes wide and aware,
in awe the town stared.
